There are ample and various opportunities for adults of all ages to learn, grow, and serve.
Our Young Adult Ministry is fairly new but has really taken off. From fun social events, to service projects, to Bible Study opportunities, we want our young adults to be active and devoted. By joining this ministry opportunity, you are not only setting a great example for your children and friends of what living a life of faith really looks like, but you are also surrounding yourself with other dedicated Christians in a similar stage of life for support, encouragement, and companionship. So whether you come to meet some new friends from church, to find the support of fellow Christians your same age, or simply just to get out of the house for a night, we would love for you to come join us today! Please contact Pastor Kevin with any questions or comments!
Some of the fun things we have done over the past year:
This fall Pastor Kevin hosted a fall BBQ at his house. Fresh off the grill were hamburgers, brats, and chicken wings. Everyone brought some delicious sides and desserts to share. The kids enjoyed playing with the chickens and running around the yard, while the adults mingled, played yard games, and enjoyed the good food. The evening ended with a fire. This will most likely happen again soon!
What is a Hooley you ask? Hooley is Irish slang for PARTY!! This October party started two years ago and is now an annual tradition for our group. We host our Hooley at Dubh Linn's Irish Pub downtown. We have some amazing food, some refreshing drinks, and even some card games. This is the perfect opportunity to come meet new people from church in the relaxed atmosphere of a party room. Be sure to watch for details on our 3rd annual Hooley this fall and please come join the fun.
Last spring, we brought in an instructor to teach a paint class. We had artists of all skill levels, but when it came to the fun of the experience, everyone equally enjoyed themselves.
Are you an older, wiser, Lutheran? Come join the other OWLs for lunches, meetings, and events.
